Jet Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Because of Crack in Windshield
An aircraft ferrying the US defense secretary was compelled to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the jet's front window, per an official announcement which stated that Hegseth was safe.
"The plane touched down in accordance with established safety measures and all individuals on the flight, such as Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a press officer stated in a public statement.
He was traveling back from a short visit to Brussels during the flight.
This event does not mark the first time that a United States armed forces jet carrying a top government figure has suffered equipment failures.
Months ago, a American military jet ferrying the US Secretary of State to the city in Germany was required to turn back to the US capital after encountering a mechanical problem.
